OK guys - here's the deal, let's help each other out.  

Basically - this is a public forum & b'c of that fact -  I cannot stop Trolls & spammers from coming over here repeatedly & playing silly games.

The best way to deal with it is not to.
Ignore, don't engage, no snide side comments. No acknowledgment whatsoever (me too - I do it too...)

Yeah, yeah it's hard but if you actually don't read the persons posts - then it won't be an issue. Ignorance is bliss.

At this point, we all know the shape & sizes they come in. What their modus operandi is, their tone, their approach & nothing is going to change that.

Unfortunately, this series has some intensely overzealous fans who police sites & feel the need to the cause trouble in them.

To be honest - I don't understand why at this point, there is even a need to defend the POV's on this forum or which character we like anyway b'c it's not like any of this is remotely changing our perspective (in fact it only reinforces what we already think/know about people like this) .... so really, who cares at the end of the day? Just be glad you have a life & so you  are not that bored & crazy.

Think about it this way - I have explained the forum rules & disclaimer for everyone to see & we all direct newbies there. Obviously - anyone who comes in guns a blazing or is confrontational, antagonistic & passive aggressive - is a troll.

You can do what you want - but just know that if you engage or respond - it is exactly what they're after & it will continue.

Can't you just picture them doing their happy dance while watching everyone lose their shit?

So...to recap - once you have a lock on someone's MO, just don't bother reading the post, this way you won't feel the need to let it get under your skin & give them exactly what they're looking  for.

Lately - I've just been erasing them w/out even bothering to read but sometimes I am not on, so can't get there quick enough to do it before you see it. So when it's obvious I'm not on -  I ask you to truly ignore it by just avoiding reading certain people's posts.

The thing is - if we continue to engage - there's only so much we (I) can do for this forum b'c it will probably get out of control. People will always continue to come on & try to cause dissension & a bit of chaos so they can turn around & 'squee' with their mates at other sites. It's just the way it is.  So it’s up to you guys to help keep it cool.

Just let me know in PM & I will erase or block the person when I get the chance. But like most times (except recently) I'll just let it be b'c it's no harm done if people just don't respond.

Oh yeah & if you can direct newbies to this thread when you get a chance so they know the drill - I would really appreciate it.
