After looking at Steek for about 20 minutes, I came up with a few things that need improvements and a few things Steek should be greatly commended for. (I tested out Steekr)
First of all, I'd like to congratulate Steek for being the first File Storage site I know of to put a Java Applet right on the main page of the App. I think a lot of the users like this feature which normally requires opening a new window in most apps:
I only uploaded 2 files, but the upload speed seemed good, at least comparable to that of Box.net and other competitors. (Although I haven't tested this out fully yet).
The multimedia playback feature does not seem to be working yet (or if it is, it only supports pictures and/or video) as it wouldn't play my music or preview my text files. Steekr's interface is pretty well done and very solid for an early app. Howver, some of the icons seem to have edges which aren't quite smooth:

Also, after uploading a file a strange window pops up asking you to click on the "ok" button when all upload is done, however this window only appears when the download completes. Doesn't the site already know the upload is done?

Steek is a great addition to the online storage apps. I still believe Box.net is the best site out there for this type of service (the API, simple and quick interface, and cheap prices make it harder to beat). In order for Steek to beat the Box.net (and Omnidrive) grasp on the market, I believe it must do the following things:
