I don't quite know what it is 

It's your hard drive but online. You can store your photos, music and videos, share with your friends (private) or juste have an online backup of your stuff

Steekr.com and Steekup.com are the actual two products we have launch based on the Steek online storage technology.

Steekup.com is a strong backup tool with high level of encryption, versioning, etc.

Steekr.com is more a virtual hard drive with web based interface and PC and Mac uploader application also (like steekup)

But the Steekr uploader is not a security tool it's a way to put your content only easily.

Maybe one day we will merge the two tools, waiting for your comment.

How does it differ from http://www.omnidrive.com/  ?

omnidrive have a limited bandwidth

with steekr, you have no limlit on you traffic 

and if you don't use your omnidrive during more than 60 days , free accounts are disabled

with steekr, even you have only the free account version, with a little capacity you have the top of reliability and availability for your data 

Got a questions about Steek's usability...

Does it have the ability to sync with my external drive?  I would like to have Steek backup all my files at first, then only backup the files that have been modified.  I have over 45GB of data to backup.

You should really have a comparison page that explains the difference between Steekup.com, and stickr.com. It took me a while to figure out what the differences are, and I admit I'm still a bit confused

I have a few other things which I would sugggest / critique:

• create a feature matrix that explains the difference between steekr.com and steekup.com
• there are no obvious links from steekup.com to steekr.com, if you don't visit steek.com first, you might never hear of both.
• The Steekr.com website works in two languages, but changing language should be on top level, and not hidden in a menu under settings. When you don't speak french it's pretty tough to change the language "back" into english.
•  the faq, downloads and other stuff on the steekr.com frontpage can't be accessed once you've logged in. You have to logout to get back to it ! (or perhaps your page layout doesn't make me find it.)
• On your company blog, you display your building in bruxelles, But as a backup provider you should really stress that you have OFFSITE backups, otherwise your backups won't last longer than the next building fire. I once read on a backupsupplier website, that they had the backups securely stored in their vault ! Basically they admitted to only keeping my stuff save in a single place ! How much are 10 different backups worth when they all go up in flames together ? 
• Make it more clear to your customers that you are a european service: I know alot of people who don't do online backups right now because the can't find affordable EU-based services. Most other services will send their users precious pictures and documents in the hands of american servers, and american LAW. That you are in the EU and are protected by european and french consumer laws. This is a huge advantage for you, which you really should be advertising towards your european customer base.
  
• when uploading files using the steekr.com software, all the files go into the "My Online Computer" folder.  It would be great if automatically would place links to the files in the appropriate folder aswell. (like all pictures found should also be in a subfolder of the "My Pictures" folders.)
• You should really explain why you have 2 different pricing schemes for steekup.com and steekr.com
• On the frontpage of steekr.com you write: Your Secured Online Space.  I think your FAQ should explain how this actually is secured. (Halon fire extinguishers in the server rooms, offsite backups, guard dogs, no earthquakes in france, and no Godzilla attack as of yet.)

ps: it would be great if you could upload stuff by mailing your content to steekr.com as well. Google docs and spreadsheets already has the feature. I would really love to be able to just cc my documents into secured storage

A drop-box would be excellent (box.neet has it already) - thus others (not on Steekr) can easily send you files.

QuicktimeVR-play would be very helpful for me since I use that for interior design showcases

On steekR, you can have as many drop boxes as you want, easily. When you share a folder, you can choose to set it as Editable. That's it.
