....thanks Steek, this is just the service app i was looking for, and, so far so good, it's working great.
What i'm looking for is a little help on is my folder views in the Windows Explorer, this applies to both WinXP and Vista OS's. I like to have all my files and folders to 'Detail' view, and i know that i have applied this view to 'all-folders' in the 'Folder options'.
What i have found is, anything under the 'SeekR' drive in 'explorer' does not seem to show it's contents in 'Detail' view, but only as an 'icon' view, is there anything i need to set, or change in XP or/and Vista that may display Steek's drive like this.
Thanks again for this fantastic service app, and any help regarding my query.
Kind regards
Livio
Hello,
You can display your files in detail view in the SteekR DriveDrive by setting this option with a right click or in the display settings of the explorer, though you may have to set this for each folder.
Best regards,
Philippe
Thanks for the help Philippe, it solved the 'view' issue, now i've hit another couple of issues and hope you may be able to shed some light.
The first is sometimes i'll get a warning/action message comes up, the only problem for me is it's written in French, now being of italian parentage i've managed to just make out what SteekR Drivedrive's asking me (whether to use a local copy, or pull one from SteekR drive account), is there a way to change the language to 'English'?
The second issue i'm experiencing is, i use an Eee 900pc with WindowsXP sp3 (on a wireless broadband connection), i also use SoftMaker Office 2008 specifically the Planmaker 2008 application, if i open an excel type file directly from Windows explorer (SteekR> My Docs>folder>excel file), or via the the SteekR desktop icon (my computer link), it will hang for a long time, it's as if the app is trying to open the file before the file has been fully downloaded so it causes a freezing of the download, and massive system slowing, is there a way to stop this happening, or is this the limitations of the ASUS Eee 900pc computer, and being wireless just to slow?
At the moment, i'm copying the file from my SteekR drive, and pasting to a folder opening the file, making any changes to the file, then copying it back to SteekR.
Any further help would be grateful if there is a workaround.
Kind regards
Livio
Just to update, i've also posted this to the SteekR official forum
