what ever happened to this wonderful game idea that i never got to participate in?

It only really works when there's a bunch of us online all at the same time to play it...

Here's an idea to resuscitate this game - the person posting the question sets a long-ish time period (long enough that everyone will be able to see the question in that time), then checks back on the topic at intervals of that amount of time (also needs to be a long enough period that this doesn't consume your life in never-ending checking), and answers guesses made since they last checked in. One guess per person per interval.

It would mean sacrificing the crazy fast-paced guessing sprees... but this game is effectively dead at the moment.
