Just starting... feel free to ask questions in here.
Can this post get thru ?
oh yes, it does..
Critcal flaw :(- Cross docking of participants should not be permitted. Communities may have privy notes and post to make. This *should* not be visable right across the broad userland.
Review sharepoint07 to get the understand KM and communities of knowledge !!
/pd: Can you be more specific as to what your see as a critical privacy flaw. Are you concerned that user presenece/participation is reflected in all groups in Tangler?
Craig: As a member of one group, I should not be able to join and post in another group. Simple. Remember groups (at times) work as <invite only>, <members post only> stuff like that.
Okay I've got you.
So we currently have two group types, Public and Private. A Public group will let anyone post, but you can still invite people to make them aware of the group. A private group restricted, so only members can view messages and post messages.
Does this clear things up?
We probably need some explaination when you create the group and choose between public and private.
Might good to allow anonymous users to at least browse chats -- even if they can't participate w/o logging in
yeah, anonymous view on public groups is mandatory, but only possible once we're public.
ok that clears up a little,
ques in play.. how can a public group be view only mode without post previliges to another tangler member ?
oh Mea culpa.. I did not read Marty's previous post above.. :(-
We have the concept of privileged groups, where some users have creation privileges and everyone else can just read. When this is scheduled, depends of user demand.
