When I open Tangler, I would like to see a list of the last posts in the groups that I have joined

As it is, considering the lag, I get bored waiting for the different groups to open

The lag is sorta annoying... thank goodness for tabbed browsing

Spaniards (for the most part - there still are traditionalists! Especiall in Andalucia - the South of Spain) don't take siestas anymore. At least not the kind where you get in bed! Lol! A cat's nap on the couch after the news, maybe.

Just not me. I don't do cat naps well. I either sleep or not. None of this in-between crap. (Though it's supposed to be real healthy, I know.) 

But most of Spain still goes home for lunch.

It makes the day drag but I like it. Nice family time. You eat, watch the news, get into heated political discussions and then go back to work/school/whatever!

it would be really helpful if we could catagorize the groups.

Yes, as it's set up right now it's very tedious to find groups you are interested in. The list is so looong and the lag is great.

It might be helpful if the creator had to chose at least ONE category/tag from a dropdown list of general categories.

And then whatever other tags deemed appropriate, too!

Another suggestion:

Give each post a number so that we may refer to them in conversation.

The numbered posts would def. be helpful!  And OMG please made the sorting on the "All Groups" a bit easier to navigate.  I would have already joined more groups where it easier to see what is offered...  *yeah, i am lazy, but i likes what i likes, hehe* 

Yep, I don't mind the pick one category, but when I have to do that in youtube it never seems to fit what I'm doing.

Numbered post is interesting. Nice one.

I like the idea of tags for groups. That way you could look at a tagcloud representation of groups as well maybe, for when you're looking for something interesting. I'm with Gracey - I'd join more and do more if it was easier to find.

Why not make a custom widget or page where website users could goto http://tangler.mysite.com and use the forum specific to that website for its users?

Yep, very much on the schedule oneaustin. I think other than "make it faster" and "mmm, rsss" it's the most requested feature.

tangler should be able to automatically parse links

for example if i paste http://weewar.com?referrer=frog29 it should turn into An Awesome Link!

It does that in the links tab, but the title is different from yours

 In another psot it didn't actually link it.... the link was http://weewar.com/game/1552  (for some reason it looked like i had double posted above so i clicked to delete it and both deleted.... )

The link parser does have some known issues

Permalinks to individual posts in a discussion thread would be cool. I can allready go into  the source, find the @id and append it to the url, but having even a one character link would allow me to copy that url when refering to a single post in a long thread.

I would really like to see number of messages in threads (and maybe a parenthetical note of new messages) for specific threads.  It is nice to know what threads are really huge and thus probably not so interesting to get involved in (generally gets really off-topic or the convo goes in deeper direction that newbies aren't prepared for) and also it helps you know how much you've missed!
