    What are 5 features of Tangler you could live without?

    For me;

    1. Numbered lists, bold, coloured text, etc. Limit the bar to link, images and video.
    2. Move participants to 'about' 'home'.
    3. Get rid of post mode.
    4. Remove the need to add friends to chat (is that really one)
    5. Remove 'last message' date in the topic list.

    All the formatting stuff could go - like you said, just leave link/image/video

    I use post mode, but wouldn't miss chat mode

    Removing the need to add friends in order to chat is almost more of a feature request than a slimmer....

    You could take out all the info from the topic list except the title and I probably wouldn't notice for a while

    I rarely use the search box

    "Home" "Help" and "Search" on the menu bar, also rarely used by me (not that it'd save you much space to cut them, and I'm sure doing so would annoy a lot of people (maybe allow people to choose which ones appear so they can slim Tangler to their own tastes)

     Ultimately, whatever you remove, someone will want to use. If the purpose of all these slimming suggestions is to create a separate, slimmed down, Tangler interface then it doesn't matter so much. If you're looking to slim down the interface everyone uses then I think you'd need to take the "here are options, untick anything you don't use" route.

    You can begin by removing 80% of the Javascript and fancy schmancy Web 2.0 bloat, and I'd be a happy camper.

    How's the new version performing?

    I like it a bit.

    Move "Back to website" to the left of "Join this forum"/"Invite friends".

    @Natanael_L: Each forum creator can adjust the look, feel and positioning of certain elements via CSS (like the 'Back to website' link), so they can control exactly how their forum looks. Consider the initial theme you see for each forum as a starting point for your own creativity:)

    I know, but I want the button to be closer to the edge than the link by default. Just switching their places in the source code would be neccessary.
