If you guys are around, can you help me test Tangler embedding.
Let's embed this topic in a bunch of places.
Things I'd like to test;
* Different browsers - Flock, Safari, IE, Firefox, Opera. Mac, PC, Linux.
* Different ways to embed - straight HTML, Wordpress self-hosted and Wordpress.com, SixApart (typepad, moveable type), MySpace.
* Different sizes, colours, languages, pictures, videos, flash embeds.
Grab the code by clicking 'Share' in the upper right hand corner of the topic screen.
If you embed, tell me where you are doing the message from (browser, URL) and what settings you used.
And also let us know how the speed is.
We are particularly seeing issues with Wordpress.com hosted blogs. It seems to strip out some of code.
OK, just found out that due to security reasons Wordpress.com doesn't allow the insertion of any javascript or even flash.
So if you have wordpress.com you'll just have to link back to the topic for now... Sorry.
OK, just tried Typepad and it removed all the span and ID code.
Shit - typepad allows Div.... which we just ditched for span so that wordpress works.
Looks like we are going to have to have 'where do you want to embed this' options.
I can try Firefox 2 & 3 on Ubuntu and Vista, IE7 on Vista and maybe some more. I'll probably spend a few hours installing more browsers this week.
There is a bug that "bother" me - sometimes the space to the left of smileys just disappear.![]()
That's my little contribution!
Well, I did a minimalist embedding at Tangler Test. Let me know what else you'd like tested in bare HTML.
What are colours?
I think text colours
I'm typing from your test page now.![]()
It seems to work nicely.
*Test editing*
Eeehrm... Update #2 didn't ... work. Screen shot is coming.
Thanks Natanael. Rest assured the matter is being addressed![]()
