would be cool if you could change the duration that the notifier balloon is displayed
Yeah, it would be.
It's on the list of requested features![]()
is this "list" posted somewhere or is it internal use only?
It's internal.
I collect all the suggestions made here and put them in that
Add to the list a clickable feature.
It'd be nice to be able to link directly to the topic in the forum it was posted, as soon as the post is made.
Or am I just being picky? It's something I've wanted for a while
LOL
p.s. I like the way this forum looks... It's stylish!
Hang on.... do you mean being able to click on the message pop ups?
(Cos you can already do that, and it'll open the topic directly. If you double-click on the notifier icon, Tangler will launch to the Dashboard)
Oh.
LOL, just tried it...and yes, I can't believe it's taken me this long to realise it!
Just because it didn't appear to be a link on the mouse-over
![]()
Ahhh... Hmm... how else could we make that obvious?
Auto-hyperlink to the words perhaps?
Definitely something to consider. I'll add it to the list. Thanks!
Most users have their settings that all links show lines underneath or a different cursor or something on a mouse-over. Let's say, clicking the post preview links directly to the topic it was posted. If you wanted to get tricky, say clicking the forum name would go to the main forum/topics page.
And no problem!
Yeah, I'm just not sure of the technical side of it, but you're right, it isn't obvious visually.
And how about an option somewhere in Tangler to change the preference of either: opening a new window/tab, or keeping it in the same window and navigating away from the current page. (when clicking the balloon) ?
A lot of notifications and extra windows could get annoying if you have many topics/forums that are being posted in.
I think that depends on your browser settings. I'll check
Personally, mine opens a new tab when I click the ballooon. I think I'd prefer to be directed away from my current page, but to have that as an option in the notifier would be handy.
Sure, I agree
