First of all, it was love at first sight. When I saw Tangler's interface I immediately applied for a forum.

Some suggestions:

First, it would be nice if one could search past topics or messages. For example, this very forum is rather busy, and there's no way to search whether a question has already been asked without scrolling through a seemingly infinite list of topics.

Second, there are still some encoding issues. At the home, anything that's not in ISO-8859-1 shows up as ?, while on the Topics view the characters show correctly. Both pages are sent as UTF-8, so the problem is somewhere else. See this forum as an example. Also, when I changed my profile: my forum name includes a ñ, which showed up as ñ. This is the same problem.

Third, it would be nice if one could change the language of the whole forum interface, both as a forum user, and as a forum owner. I realize this is a hard one, since I've translated software before. But it could really improve the overall user experience.

For your first suggestion, there is a box in the top right-hand corner of the screen where you can enter text to search the forum you are in. You can search any forum, but you must be inside it first.
To search all of Tangler, go back to your dashboard (by clicking on your username) and in the same place there is a box with 'Search Tangler'

As for your other suggestions, I can point you in the direction of Dekrazee1. (if you signed up yourself, she will automatically be in your friends list, unless you've removed her - don't worry, she's actually a real person, not a bot!!),

I don't quite get your second point. On which pages do you see the character issues? I ask cos I had a look at the forum you linked to, and it displayed fine for me.

Yeah, localisation is a big one, and it is on the road map, but it won't be happening very soon, sorry

To be honest, the search thingy isn't all that good... I have before remembered a specific phrase or topic title that I wanted to find again, put exactly what I was looking for in the search box, and failed to find it... might want to work on the search algorithm a little
