That's the message I receive when I use my embed code. My wiki website will accept almost any java script or html codes. Google Gadgets and YouTube embeds work quite well.

    Here's the embed code

    <p style="width:410px;height:480px" id="tangler-embed-topic-38429"></p><script src="http://www.tangler.com/widget/embedtopic.js?id=38429&gId=25163"></script>

Hey clifnotes. Could you tell me which wiki you're trying to embed in please?

    Thanks - http://help4all.pbwiki.com/AddingForum

PS: I'm email support at PBwiki. I often get asked how to add a forum to a wiki. I think Tangler may be a great answer for us. We host nearly 400,000 wikis there.

Hey clifnotes, I got it working.

To embed a topic in the wiki, you'll need to change the <p> tags to <div>

So the embed code would be: <div style="width:410px;height:480px" id="tangler-embed-topic-38431"></div><script src="http://www.tangler.com/widget/embedtopic.js?id=38431&gId=2923"></script>

Thanks Dekrazee1. That really did the trick. This could make hundreds of wiki tribes very happy.

Hi! I have my topic embedded into my wiki. When someone views my wiki & they want to contribute to the conversation, what will happen? Will it direct them to sign up at Tangler or do I need to have them do that?

    2008-09-14 12:51:09.0

    Hi Angie.

There will be a prompt on the embed for them to log in or join.
    Like this:

They'll just need to click on the Join button or link to sign up to your forum and start contributing.

Reading from after the fact, I'd like to know some things. You mean to say that you can embed a topic inside of a wiki? If so, how would you do that? I'm trying to do the above recommended steps, but it seems that the ode has changed somewhat since the posts above. Needless to say, it isn't working. Thank you.

    Hi NaturalLog.

I assume you're talking about embedding a topic in pbwiki?

In which case, it looks like they've made some changes which allows the original embed code Tangler provides to be used.

So what you need to do is copy the topic embed code from Tangler (click on Share in the top right of the topic).
In the wiki edit page, select 'Insert Plugin' --> 'PBwiki Magic' --> 'HTML/JavaScript'.
That leads to a box where you can insert the Tangler embed code. Paste the code in, and then tick the "Allow JavaScript and other potentially unsafe code box at the bottom"
Click on 'Preview' and then 'OK'.

Save your changes, and it's done!:)

Have a go and please let me know how it goes and if there's anything else I can help with.

We do it manually for now Kimball.

I'm trying to embed a series of topics to one wiki page on a PB Wiki. A single one works okay.  When I add a second one (as a second "plugin") the first one fails to appear on the wiki page.  If I reverse the order of the two plugin objects on the wiki page, whichever one was first disappears and the later one remains.  I have also tried embedding two topics within one "plugin" object.  This doesn't work either.  Can you offer any guidance on how to do this? The embedded code is as follows <div style="width:410px;height:480px" id="tangler-embed-topic-61911"></div><script src="http://tangler.com:80/widget/embedtopic.js?id=xx914&gId=xx721"></script>

    Hi Dan.

It isn't possible to embed more than one topic on one page, sorry. You'll need to create a new page for each topic you'd like to share.
