You can change your profile to show some info and a nice picture to the world of Tangler.

Here's how you do it.

1. Click 'Profile' in the top right. Your profile will open. 
2. Click 'Edit ' just under your name in the upper left.  The edit profile page will open.
   
3. Fill in the fields
1. Screen name - this is the name everyone sees. You can keep changing this, but then people might forget who you are...
2. Avatar - this is the little pic that appears whenever you type a message or if people add you to their contacts. It has to be a picture on your desktop and it must be smaller then 50kb in size. The pic will be resized to 48x48 pixels, so try and find a square one. You can keep trying different pics to see what suits. And you can cange it as often as you like for variety.
   
3. Stuff about you - tell us about yourself.
   
4. First name - optional first name. This gets shown on profile
   
5. Family name - optional family name. This is also shown.
   
6. Gender - optional.
   
7. City - where you live.
   
8. State - again, where you live. Solid, extasy, joy will also suffice.
   
9. Country - pick one.
   
10. Occupation - what you do or should be doing instead of being on Tangler.
    
4. Click save.
   

You can see your profile and if you're not happy, edit it again.

Enjoy!

Oh, and you can also see someone elses profile by clicking on their icon in a chat or in 'Your stuff'.

I have a question.

I use my old email to sign up to tangler - now I'm going to discontinue use of that old email. HOw do I update my email info in Tangler? Considering that I use my email to sign in?

Do i have to create another profile? 

There's no way for us to change the emails at the moment, it's something we have not gotten around to implementing yet. Is this just so that you can receive your email digests? If it is, I can probably work out an interim solution.

ya - for the moment I wouldn't mind if my email digests went to another email but it's not that important.

I need to change my email and password? I don't see that info anywhere in my profile.

Hey askthejudge. We don't have a change e-mail feature yet, but we can change it for you manually if need be. (I'll talk to you privately about this)

As for changing passwords, there's a link on the sign in page that allows you to do that.

askthejudge: There should ideally be an option on your profile page to change your password as well. That seems more intuitive to me. I'll add that to our list.

Yeah, I agree..

+1 for a WAY more obvious way to change password.  It should be in the same page as where you change all your other account settings.  I was just trying to change mine now, and had to click all over before finally succumbing and doing a search on tangler (and found this thread).
