Hi, I am the founder of a writing group which has been operating for approximately a year. We have recently lost two members and are looking for one or two writers to join us. We try to write and submit via email on a two week schedule - with assigned critics for each cycle, although all are welcome to read and critique all the submissions. We like to meet in person once every 6 weeks or so and have great writing discussions, including queries and publication issues! We are mostly comprised of writers who have completed a novel and are working on a second - or re-shaping the first for publication. (There is a childens' writer in the group.) We aspire to offer honest feedback with a gentle touch and have a "cry uncle" rule - you can be more gently critiqued if you choose. Wink We need someone who will fit our personalities as well as our writing level - which certainly benefits all concerned. We also are interested in someone who can offer technical critique, as well. Please inquire - we'd love to hear from you. Laughing

    Hi!

I'm looking for a group that will allow me to swap critiques for large pieces of work (novel drafts, for example), as opposed to ten pages every two weeks, which is what most groups seem to do (how can people ever get done at that rate?). Also, I'd like to swap critiques for queries and proposals. Is that what you do? If not, do you know of any individuals who would like to work with me?

    Hi-

I am looking for a group although I am not a novelist, per se  - that is, I am working on a series of linked short stories which is not a novel but not unrelated stories either.  I am approximately 140 pages into this project or a little more than halfway.  I would welcome both the feedback from and structure of a working group and am comfortable with giving and receiving criticism.  I just need other eyes!!

Please let me know what you think    I live in Andover

Hi, Thanks to those of you who are interested in the group. Sorry for the delay in responding. I honestly forgot to check for responses these last two weeks.

As for ladyvicenza - our group does only deal in small sections of work. I know what you mean about the inefficiency of small page numbers - but our members feel overwhelmed having to write/read more than 15 pages at a time from each writer. We are probably not the right group for you. Thanks for your interest!  To Carence  - your connected short stories would be a nice fit - your location makes sense also. We do want to make sure all of our sensibilites are compatible and should exchange more info in that regard. To Robertb - could you offer some more info about yourself and your writing? If any of you would like to email me - please send an inquiry to writerannm@gmail.com.  Again, sorry for the late response. Hopefully, you are all still out there.  Ann Marie
