I write nonfiction and fiction. Not published-yet. I've been writing since I can remember, and now teach others (I'm an English teacher). I'm hoping to put the finishing touches on a few older pieces, then start something new. I am available Wednesday and Friday afternoons/evenings,and I don't rule out weekend times. Congenial, constructive, committed and funny writers who want generous, honest feedback please contact me.

Hi fire princess. Any takers on establishing a group?  Wed/Friday afternoon or eve are all workable times for me.  Let me know what's coming together.

Friday evening works for me. I live in JP and have had a few magazine items published. For two and a half years I worked in the gay press but now I'm looking to become an English teacher and a novel writer in my off hours (which truthfully may be few and far between once I actually start teaching). I'm courteous, engaging and can edit with a cautious eye. - Tom

Hi all. Friday eves are not good for me, BUT Wednesday afternoons or evenings are fine. I live in Coolidge Corner-could that be a good starting location? PS Tom, I'm an English teacher. Did I say that before..??? ah, memory loss. Hope we can start something soon! My first choice would be Wednesday starting in the early evening-gathering together at a predetermined hour between 5-7pm to start, and concluding around 9-ish. A group that lasts about 2 hours, and we can amend the time as the need arises. What say you?-fireprincess

I love this idea. Tomorrow might be a bit of a rush, but next week (2/25)?  Meeting someplace in CC is fine. I'm excited by the idea of getting a group going. Cheers!

Sorry to be flaky but next week is not going to work for me.  I'm having to do a lot of priority shuffling right now and I don't want to get into a group because I think I won't be able to be a quality participant.  Sorry.

OK, and thanks for the message.Feel free to join another time if things change. I'm going to go out on a limb and say that I will host the first group next Wednesday at 6 at my home or Panera or Brueggers if I get any takers within the next couple of days. (Wed. March 4 that is.) Who wants to submit and be critiqued first?

Hi -- Are you open to middle grade/YA genre in your group?

    2009-03-02 16:07:32.0

Hi, I live in the Brookline area as well and was interested in joining a group.  I can definitely meet Monday - Wednesday evenings.  I don't have a lot written, but am trying to encourage myself to write.  Next week, won't work for me, but I'm available after next week.  I'm a beginning writer, who's attended a couple of online classes.  Thanks!

OK, YA is fine. I enjoy it myself. And we can meet next Wed. April 1 if that's ok with you all. How about meeting at the Brueggers in Coolidge Corner early evening. I can meet at 6. We can get to know each other, decide how to run the workshops, and if someone wants to have their piece workshopped, they could email it to us ahead of time, or give it to us that evening.

I have been writing for most of my adult life. I have written essays, memoir, two novels, short stories, and travel pieces. I have taken courses at Grubb Street, Cambridge and Brookline Centers for Adult Ed. I would love to meet with other writers perhaps every other week. I am available most any evening from seven to nine p.m.

Hi! Just wondering if you guys got anything up and running? I'm a little late from the dates it seems, but would love to join up with you.  I'm a beginning serious writer, though I've been writing my whole life. Currently teaching English and not renewing my contract next fall to take the plunge into a writing life!
