How do I correct typos in my topics, and how do I delete topics? Hm... 

Markus, there should be edit and delete icons under the topic title

For messages, the edit and delete icons are located on the right, next to the timestamp.

Click on these and an edit box will pop up to allow you to edit or delete accordingly
