Sometimes I say "Nah, I'm not going to travel round Australia until I retire." But does that actually happen?
I hear many youngen's are doing that now and enjoying the scenery. There nemesis is the many grey nomads that are also on the road and during the nightime fireside chats many ideas flow and stories past to the benefit of both.

I'd like to do that now. No need to wait until I'm old. Just need to wait until I have some spare change, and a car I have faith in
I did some sums- in buying a 4 wheel drive, caravan v campervan v just getting out there with a tent and a ute - the last is the cheapest option, the campervan has limitations where you can go and so has the caravan - so maybe hire one first up before having the big cap outlay. I aslo thought that for five thousand I can do the top end on tour luxury accom and helecopter rides everything so unless you want to stop on the roadside and chew the fat with others then maybe this is an option too.
Sounds like a good plan.
I've driven around quite a bit. I save on accommodation by sleeping in the car. I have always owned hatchbacks, so you can push the back seatrest down and make a flat surface. I'm also pretty good at falling asleep in the driver's seat. Not while I'm driving of course
hey dec that what you do when your young and the body can handle that - but when one is over half way its a lot tougher
hehehe yeah, no, you're right
