    It would be really nice to see if the players in my game are on or offline (right next to their avatar). Someone else, somewhere else mentioned incorporating a *PING* or a wake up call. I don;t remember exactly how the suggestion worked, but using this game as an example, if I "pinged" an online player, they'd get a "Games are waiting on you! flag in all their weewar pages.     Ratioswitch: Great idea. I was thinking of a buzz or something like that. But what would work be better is to make that green arrow the impetus for buzzing someone since it doesn't do anything at the moment. That makes it so that you're not adding extra interface elements and making it complicated.

    Ping is a great idea but I don't think it can technically be done. Maybe Alex or Bert can enlighten us. Maybe a ping would go to their email and the header. Either way there would need to be some kind of hook to determine where the player is active. Also if the player is playing with fullscreen map( no info box), he would not see the message. Also, you will need to refresh his page. So said player would not see it once he has completed his turn. The best place might be the chat box sort of like the grey "point spread info"  but maybe in red. The again I might just be rambling here.

    Just being able to nudge someone with an email would be incredibly useful.  There are situations where a player hasn't moved in a couple days just because they forgot, and you don't want to remove them from the game because they are a friend of yours.  Being able to ping an online player and auto-refresh their page(s) with a message would be great, but the email option would be simple to implement yet would yield a high payoff.

    The email system is there, but the problem is most players elect not to recieve an email(* raises hand as one of those types*).

    Regarding the email nudge... I'm sure there is a way around the SPAM thing, like maybe an account option or something the player can opt out of when they accpet a game invite

    I don't mind receiving emails for nudges and stuff, I think that's a good complimentary option next to the current "send an email on your move" system.

    I don't know if it would even be possible since i don't know much about how the servers are set up, but if it's possible I think it would be cool if WeeWar had its own Jabber server that when you create a game account you get a jabber account to go with it.  Then when it's your turn on a game the server sends you a quick IM, and if you're online but you aren't playing people can ping the heck out of you:P
