Certain maps have very different starting positions.  Since I"m pro I often end up creating games but I always end up in the same spot!  I think it'd be great to randomize the starting positions, it will make maps more interesting!

I would very much second this. In the small group of people i play with only one of us has a pro account, so he ends up starting a lot of games and has been complaining about always having to start and go first.

Agreed.  If we could randomize who plays what colour, or maybe even let players select, that would be good.

In fact, picking both colour AND position would be neat.

That sounds great, but we need to make sure that whoever starts in blue's position always goes first. I try to give slight advantages to players who don't get a head start, so blue usually has a slight disadvantage on my maps.

Randomizing or maybe (maybe in the future after more balancin) giving the option to select where you start just like e.g. in C&C TW 3
