Hi Folks
It's the first time I've played workday carnage - and lucky me I'm purple.
The maps pretty much equally balanced in every respect, except that purple have an advantage I've noticed.
Sorry if this has been done b4, but i thought it's worthy of a mention, since the purple team have the following setup:
9 x trooper @ 75 = 675
5 x heavy trooper @150 =750
2 x raider @ 200 = 400
4 x tank @ 300 = 1200
5 x Light Artillary @ 300 = 1500
5 x Heavy tank @ 600 = 3000
Total = 7525
The rest of the other teams have:
9 x trooper @ 75 = 675
5 x heavy trooper @150 =750
3 x raider @ 200 = 600
4 x tank @ 300 = 1200
5 x Light Artillary @ 300 = 1500
4 x Heavy tank @ 600 = 2400
Total = 7125
It's not massive but because the purples have a heavy tank instead of the raider the others have - it's a 400 point advantage!
cheers

I think it was mentioned that this was done on purpose to offset the late-turn or positional disadvantage. But I rarely ever play on that map.
Even with the extra tank, only blue and red win this map. I've rarely seen purple win. This has to do with the distance the tank has to cover in order to engage the enemy.
so actually it is not a broken map because of the purple tank.
This has been discussed elsewhere: http://www.tangler.com/group/id-7466/topic/21049/
It must be intentional (or unimportant), as no change was made in response to that thread.
I won as purple the first time I played that map. I noticed the advantage and wondered if anybody else knew. Maybe the other players were just more noobish than I was at the time.
@Fatmouse if something is not changed does not necessarily mean that we do not intend to amend or deem it unimportant. We have limited resources and sometimes we can not revisit a broad topic like map balancing for sake of something else. However if something seems critical we normally switch gears asap. The whole map topic will get some much needed and deserved attention asap!
My apologies, I should have clarified. By unimportant, I meant relatively unimportant compared to the vast number of things I'm sure you folks have on your plate. Fixing one unit on one map that only has an effect in four-player games is obviously not the same priority as getting pro subscriptions online or improving server stability and performance.
