I have to say I like most of it, especially accessing your maps and your profile from the top,
BUT: You took out the count of games one is playing? Or at least I don't find it anymore.
On the same topic, I think it would be important to know how many maps you have as well. If we are limited to 15 we schould not have to count to see how close we are.
+1 on the counts
+1 on counts too, somewhere near the top, not sure where though...
I have a small navigation BUG. If I'm in a game and I click Community Link it goes to > HQ Games instead of Community page. I then have to click Community link again to go to the Community page
For me, sometimes when I'm in a game and I click community, it takes me to the open games page http://battleground2.weewar.com/headquarters/games/open?code=lAcxSkBQtFfs
The game I was in is: http://battleground1.weewar.com/game/61345/pNv0rn6c3MfD
Same thing when I click Community page from http://weewar.com/game/63608 - it takes me to open games: http://battleground2.weewar.com/headquarters/games/open?code=axDUt8gRCRTZ
BUT when I go from a bg2 game http://battleground2.weewar.com/playersReadyToPlay and click Community (which I believe is run on bg2), I get to the correct Players Ready to Play page. http://battleground2.weewar.com/playersReadyToPlay
Maybe the code appended to the open game URL is related too.
Clicking Community from http://weewar.com/headquarters/games also takes me to the open games page.
I also think that I shouldnt have to scroll all the way down to get to my archives![]()
i like the look changes and some of the navigation changes, however i partially agree with streen there about scrolling down. my real beef about the archives is that after you permanently remove a game from the archives it takes you back to the main hq current games playing area. it would be more intuitive if it took you back to where you last were, whether you were removing it from archive or straight from current games playing.
the only problem i keep having is that I forget where the open games are, and keep clicking "community." I guess I'll get over it, though.
Absolutely lucky. I was cleaning my archives yesterday and it bugged the hell out of me that I had to klick my way back into the archives every time. The scrolling didnt help either![]()
Scroll down, click, look for game, click to enter game, click to remove game and all the way back to the start again![]()
oooh... checkboxes!
I think it's odd to have chat on the open games page and on the community pages the way it's set up now. If someone advertises an open game and you're on the community page and want to join, you have to click to games and then join game. Along the same line, I don't think "Players who want to play" and "Top players" pages need the chat - I don't see any motivation for this other than they are also, in a sense, community pages. There's no harm though. I just liked the coherence between having chat all in one page (on each of the tabs). It's kinda weird the current way.
Suggestion:
For the Games page - I like the old tabbed version. How about a tab for "Current games (X)" where X is # of current games, as before; "Archived games(Y)" as before; "New game"; and "Join a game"? You could stick the three tabs of the Community pages here as well. Or perhaps revert it to the old way of Headquarters and Community where "join a game" was always easily accessible.
Tabbed similarly for the You page - one tab for your profile, another tab to change personal settings using that page that existed before. The open white space just looks weird to me when I'm used to tabs filling that space.
Eventually, Maps could use tabs too - for Your maps, Popular maps, Recently published maps, etc.
I agree that when you delete an archived game, you should end up in the archive. Filed a Ticket.
Hey, just realized that this has been fixed. thanks![]()
