    Have a look at this experimental map I've put together (which myself and @dekrazee1 are currently testing)

    It would be good if there could be a round limit within which the assault team in the scenario has to complete their objective ... which without being too complicated is simply to liberate their bases that I'm camping on

    If blue team has unlimited time they can easily build 8 DFAs and just overrun me ... and I can't build any units because I wanted to ensure that the red team is somehow restricted to that area of the map

    and that's only done by specifying what units you start with and taking away bases ... OR disallowing the creation of units that can cross water or mountains ... like I did on this map:

    where the blue team has the only 3 hovercraft the map can ever have because the building of hovercraft is disallowed

    which was the only way I could ensure those neutral bases on the far right of the map are preserved for the blue team - as some kind of objective. If they don't get to those bases they're screwed as they can't replenish

    It's hard though .. you want to keep the game simple, and all this complexity .. it's a different game. Where do you draw the line?
