It would be very nice if it were possible to enter a minimum score for players to join, when setting up a new game. Like 1550+ or 1600+ etcetera. It should be impossible for people with less points to enter those games. Maybe they don't even see them... It prevents noobs from joyfully entering a game with too experienced players. This is frustrating for the noobs, who get beaten too quick and will not like the game. And it is frustrating for experienced players, because the noobs mess up the game (balance).

if you do - make the same option work for < X for the noobs to set up their own games. keep the predators
off em for a few games.

yeah we asked for an option to set a range of ratings for people joining games many moons ago.

Something similar I've asked for is the ability to "ante up" or have the players choose how many points they are willing to put on the line. It would be as an option to the standard method. The ante phase would occur before players joined the game so that abandoning the game wouldn't give a false loss. 2 or 3 of my losses are false losses.

I don't know if setting a max range is really neccessary. Personally I don't like playing against noobs at all. There is no challenge at all and you don't get that many points for it.

But if you were a noob you might want to insulate yourself from the pros

I have some friends that I am better than, who would like to try for some points, but not at the current rates.XP

a range would be good. I am sometimes afraid that I open a game, and a bunch of noobs will team up to get my points, and it is painful to lose 30 points against noobs:( However I have to say  this hasn't happened to me yet. But indeed, sometimes the noobs just get in the way and ruin the balance, as he who sits near a noob starts with an advantage
