    That's great, registered my votes!

Any chance this can get some love on the main weewar site?

that would be nice - it would be cool if we could get a good vote turnout, it would set a precedent for future map contests

good call! Happy to blog it - can do tomorrow.

    thanks Alex!

Saw the mention in the blog, still not many votes though. I guess having to register on the wiki is a turn-off.

Yeah, but I don't know how else to keep people from voting repeatedly. I'm kind of disappointed in the map contest overall. A lot of players with really great maps never entered them, and it doesn't seem like there's much voting either.

I wonder how we can make a future one better?

personally, i feel like i need more time to play the maps in order to cast a thoughtful vote.  now with the patch also going on i'm swamped with games to play. :( :)

Bonchon - should we have some prizes?

    (Tangler will pitch something in)

That would be really cool! I can extend the deadline on the contest in the meanwhile. Thanks, dekrazee1:)

(or are you suggesting that we do prizes and start a new contest?)

I was suggesting it for the next one - I thought that's what we were discussing

Good plan. Let's look to how we can make the next map contest best.

yeah, this one went a bit over board really. a lot more work for judges than anticipated, a lot less participation as well. The next one can only be better:)

For voting, there must be some way to have people vote without signing in and with not much opportunity to vote more than once. We could set up voting outside of the wiki. There are a few free services out there ...

Yeah, use PollDaddy for example. It works pretty well

Maybe the easiest way to create a "map" contest is for weewar to keep stats on which maps get played the most, unless all we are creating is art.

I'd like to see another crack at a contest, b/c the maps that get played the most might just be the ones that are easiest to find. I agree with the idea of setting up the voting with something like PollDaddy.

I think I might stay out of the next contest organization team.

I rather use my free time to play weewar and make actual maps:)

If there is another contest, I'll be in as a contestant.
