Spadequack reminded me of something I never suggested to weewar. An option that once all players choose too (in a fashion similar to offering peace), that the game chat can be cleared to reduce the lag. I've had games where we've waited a good while for the chat lines to load.
Alternatively, It would also be nice to have the option to erase our own comments either singly or collectively.
I'd like the comments to be indexed to what turn they were made in. And only have the chatbox only contain the chat from the last 4-5 moves.
That would be nice.
+1 for turn-stamps; reminder about timestamps.
+1 for turn-stamps
some people have timestamps in thier chat entries.
I think that's because they manually put them. Which is a good idea for a greasemonkey script...
They're usually not done manually but by a greasemonkey script. I think it's part of the weewar greasemonkey suite or something like that still in development
Someone should bring this script to the masses!
The Weewar Suite GM script was discussed pretty heavily in Weewar Chat, but i think it is still very much in development. It was a collaborative effort between Pluto and another player (I don't know his Weewar nic). Had some other great stuff in it like an attack range assistant and auto-repair functionality.
The site is here.
Doesn't look like they have done much with it lately though. (And the GM extension has some crazy behavior with FF3 - just an FYI in case anybody id thinking about upgrading).
updated Suite with new features is coming out soon![]()
Oh great, now I have to check the site every couple of hours as I wait for the update.
I love the current functionality and and actually pulled down a beta version of GM that works great on FF3, so I'm back in business with the existing script.
