Well, I'm glad that people have been enjoying the Weewar Tournaments site, and I'm just now coming upon a lot of free time in my life, so I want to spruce it up a bit.

One big thing that I want to add is a points/rating system to recognize and award players who enjoy and/or dominate lots of tournaments.  So, I would like to solicit some idea on how to go about this.

The basic idea I'm going for is something like you get 5 points for winning a first round game, 10 for second round, 50 for 3rd round, etc.  Then there could also be bonuses for winning as an underdog, or even implementing some form of the ELO system.

I want to make it as fair as possible, so the more ideas and commentary, the better!  thanks.

Maybe a formula that takes into account the tournament's average player rating? Something as simple as:

Win in Round 1: 10* (Average Rating/1500)

Win in Round 2: 20* (Average Rating/1500), etc.

Suggestion: Make little icons that can somehow be put onto your profile page (maybe by overlaying it with the current profile image)? So the tournaments get more attention as people may start asking what the badges are. Also people seem to like badges...
