I really don't like sites that won't allow the construction of moderately safe passwords.... as you're still in alpha and I've cut some slack and requested a signup with the hope you might change this .....  will you consider doing so?

Always open to suggestions, but we need more detail about what you'd like to see changed:   "that won't allow the construction of moderately safe passwords" - explain further what you would like to be able to do in the way of choosing passwords, please!

Special characters (e.g. * ; / ; %) are specifically prohibited from your passwords.  This makes all the difference between passwords that are easily cracked and those that are not.

Interesting, that makes sense on the face of it,  I will ask our CTO to address this, and one of us will be back up here with an answer soon...

Have you registered on the WeMeUs site?

What a silly question -- if you're asking me about the passwords, of course you've registered....

Special characters need to be supported, support for this will be added in a future release. Thank you for your feedback.

Would be good to see "# of emails" counter at the top of the inbox.  Also good to be able to sort mails.

Hi Saurin!  Agreed on all points - what is up on We-mail right now is just the framework, we'll be working on it in the next couple of months. Folders, counters, sorting mail are all part of the basic feature set to be finished off.

Good to have: allow setting of tabs right from the contact overview/list page. Going to each contact to set Tags, for example, is cumbersome..

similarly, if there was a way to classify newly imported contacts en-masse, it would make things easy. e.g. "strength of relationship" field.  Would be good if we can classify, say 40 out of 130 contacts into "strong relationship" / "nurture relationship actively" category.. This goes towards getting new users up on the learning/productivity curve quickly.

I agree! We've mocked up that flow but won't be available for a little bit yet...

On the tags:  you mean being able to set tags from the main addressbook main, without having to drill down into each contact's detail - is that correct?

Right..In LinkedIn, nodal content is created by the node owner.. But here, our user is creating node content for his connections.  So the effort is large when many connections are imported at one-time. Classifying/tagging each connection individually would take 100's of clicks.  So the user is likely to abandon that effort - significantly reducing the value. (Again, to me, the value inflexion point is when WeMeUs proactively helps user manage relationships with "VIP" connections..).. So if we can make it easy to import and classify/tag/describe users en-masse in a single 5-10 minute operation, we would have done a lot to make the user productive from day one..
