I love Tangler. This new forum stuff is pretty awesome so far.
WineLog users want a forum to chat arbitrarily about the wine topis that come up for them. We're going to test this out and see if it works well.
Greed could stop this. We obviously want users spending time on our website, not Tangler.
And then there are the data synergies that we can do if people are posting through our own custom setup.
I think it could work in tandem. A forum is a great place for your members to interact and get to know each other better.
thanks for the invite, Jason! At the very least we can create momentum towards a full forum on WL?
Hey Jason, I had another question. I think we've discussed this before, but what's the rationale about having a default score for unrated wines and what looks to be an algorithm based on that default score and subsequent ratings by users?
Also, is there anyway to make the Tasting and Personal Notes sections able to recognize ASCII characters, such as accent marks?
OK..and one last thing, heh. It'd be great if you could add/edit Personal Notes in the Wine Information view. I find that I forget something here or there and want to add it as I'm editing a wine and then I have to open a new window to get back to my winelog so that I can do the editing there. Thanks!
