Thought it would be interesting to find out who is actually out there using Wordpress, in what way's they're using it, and how theyre doing with it.

I'm in Australia, and using Wordpress MU as the base of a small startup company. I've had to re-engineer almost the entire back-end administration in order to fit what we're doing, but still find it to be the best offering out there. I'm looking at and have already begun work on integrating it with Gallery, Pligg, and phpWiki.

I use Wordpress on about 50 blogs I run/help with and in terms of design I have probably done themes for 100s others. I recommend Wordpress actually for most of my clients... even ones that don't want the "blog" feature but just a WYSIWYG editor for page info. With things like backups and automatically publishing things to technorati it makes roll out a snap.

I'm in Australia, I've got a personal site & I've written a few plugins for it.  I jumped ship from Movable Type a few years ago & haven't looked back!

WordPress is great as a blogging engine, but it also works well as a mini-CMS: simple install, decent WYSIWYG interface templating, etc...

hi, i'm in italy, i have a personal blog on wp.com ( this one:)) and i'm involved in a not for profit community based mu implementation (see http://blogs.gnumerica.org )

i'm not a php coder (not yet, at least:), but i'm proficient with xhtml and css, so i'm taking care, with others, of the design side of the story. we're gonna move our primary web site http://www.circolab.net into wp. see this test site i made, yesterday: http://blogs.gnumerica.org/circotest (we might want to change layout details in the future, i simply wanted to prove some wp skeptical friends that the site could look just the same)

i'd love to talk about wp, and especially mu.

the main problem with the above example, at the very moment, is that sidebar columns content is static, because of mu lack of support for widgets. my theme is based on sandbox. on a single wp installation works ok, and widgets give blog authors the possibility to easily modify, via web interface, sidebars content. i'm playing with wp themetoolkit to see if i can arrange some kind of web based theme administration, in mu

Though I'm running 13 blogs on WordPress, now a days, my only favorite job is to try and attach WP MU with all the type of APIs available out there on the Web. In other words, I'm writing codes for WordPress MU that'll make any WordPress MU powered site a huge hub.

Ning, Netvibes and Facebook have inspired me so much in the past couple of months that I just can't stop coding and thinking about new ideas. I'm waiting for Tangler to release its API so I can start playing with the code!

I'm maintaining my own blog on WP, as well as a few others -- including my mother's! I like WP because it's relatively easy to figure out what setting she's changed and get it back to normal and her up and operating again quickly, which is necessary unfortunately often.

    Hello from Madison, Wisconsin, USA

Wordpress over the years has improved but has managed to keep it's admin interface remarkably similar and straightforward. I currently use it on 4 or 5 blogs and am, for the most-part, very happy with it

    Cheers,
    _rs
