  Introduction

  I was looking for an easy project to act as an idea generator for another group I've started [Pangea Day] when serendipity .... I clicked on to CNN to get the latest headlines but instead was greeted by a story about a wonderfully imaginative project being headed by the co-creator (Rick Smolin)of two famous tabletop books depicting American Life.

  Like his other projects (A Day in the Life and America 24/7) this project is designed to produce a web site, exhibition and coffee table book via submission from both 100 professional and scores of amateur photographers.

  The original project talked about on CNN was ending the day after my viewing it, but it inspired me to think about using Tangler to do the same but over the scope of all the countries that we come from!

  So everyday, for 7 days starting Monday 24, 2007 I will be posting one of the assignments and asking you to submit your own photos for the "assignment of the day."
