"show us exactly what makes your home your castle. Capture the essence and emotions -- all the nooks, crannies and grannies -- and don't forget the iguana if you've got one.
Post your photo's here:
I've got a few ideas.... I'll start on em when get back from my errands
Meanwhile, here's a shot I took yesterday. I will let it do the talking, but an explanation will be forthcoming if needed
nice pic dek, go figure it is about food:)
Well, in my defence, I took it to show Mr Dent I had tried his recipe a day before this topic was created....![]()
Wait till you see the one I took for this assignment![]()
will be looking forward to it! I think my flat is too dirty to photograph right now![]()
No Kaz....there has to be some cranny that is ok... no excuses... show yourself in front of the fridge if nothing else comes to mind. (food, yes, but slightly more subtle than Dekrazee1's!)...
I'm still on Sunday so have some time to do some cleanup....
So Dekrazee1...... where is the one you took for the assignment?
Yes yes.... wait wait... haven't uploaded it yet. Be right with ya
okay bric I will give ya something tomorrow![]()
excellent, and I won't even mention the xooxx word...![]()
haha
Where are our brit friends?
in that sad place known as Briton

My reading room.... my library is upstairs and quite a bit larger....
Very similar to what I had imagined
Love the armchair!![]()
Totally to my taste
Nothing better than sitting in an armchair with ottoman at the ready... the blue guy is actually an M&Ms peanut dispenser....push down on his leg and a few treats roll into the sidecar...
hahahaha How cute!
re the armchair - the fabric design is very familiar to me. It is similar to my current bedspread. (Which we will probably see in the course of another assingment
)
It's my third fav piece of furniture actually the first two are a desk/chair set in my library...(probably see it in an assignment too
).... fe the armchair/ fabric we spent a long time looking for a chair that was just right for the room and the use... but knew as soon as we saw it that the search had ended...(if you've got a similar beadspread, then all I can conclude is .... great minds think alike
)
Still waiting for your's Kaz!
Unfortunately, we'll never see my most favourite furniture. They're in Singapore.
One is a teak roll-top desk (I think that's what they're called) beautifully crafted in Thailand. The texture and colour of the wood along with the detailed carvings made me want to sit at it everyday! I miss it![]()
Another is an indian sitting sofa thing. I don't quite know how to describe it. I'll see if I can find some pics
Oh, and we'll have to wait for Kaz
She'll be away for the next 3 days
Something like this:

But less fancy
an idea of what the roll top looks like:

I just love the 'feel' of dark wood. And by that I mean the physical and emotional connection
I've wanted a roll top desk like that all my life...I feel the same way about the wood, but I fell in love with a differnet style desk and ended up I getting it for my library (its a replica of one in "Professor Henry Higgins" reading room in the film 'My Fair Lady') and haven't been able to convince my wife <yet> that I deserve two such extravagances...)
hahahaha Yeah, it is an extravagance... and a real pain sometimes. Those things are heavy!
I have to say that I initially wanted it because of the 'glamorous' image I used to have in my head (I was 11ish at the time)
But I soon completely fell in love with it. Apart from my bro, it was the hardest thing I had to say goodbye to

okay here is the center piece to my flat in Coogee![]()

don't know why it turned out backwards but that is David Hasselhoff in his Night Rider days!!! Don't know where my Flat mate found it but we love it!
hehehe that's funny!!
And it looks like you have an altar there for him![]()
haha I never noticed that before, ha
On mooncake festival night

Sending ...
