How to get people to post reviews
I've found it challenging to actually get visitors to post reviews on my sites. I get a fair bit of traffic but so far no one has added their review. Do any of you fellow wprs'ers have some tips?

you don't click to categories - Lee said to look under the categories settings in the post, when you are writing or editing a post. there is a field there where you enter the url which is what is used for "visit the site". Also you can change the text for "visit the site" to whatever you want by editing the theme files.

it's nice to have at least 1 page for people to "Submit a listing" by adding a comment to this page, like award winning hosts has.
you're assuming people will make tons of comment on privacy etc. I doubt it.
if I were you I'd just charge ahead and don't worry about having comment forms on the other pages - most likely people won't comment often and if it happens then deal with it then.

On my single post view I see below the comment/review
Write a Review of
but the title is missing. I'm using the aws template and noticed that awardwinninghosts.com gives the name of the host e.g.
Write a Review of Bluehost
So something is missing in my template. Please advise what files I need to update and how, to get the title to appear.

Hi Dan,
I know you have the affiliate link module in the package but it doesn't cloak links and it works off keywords, which is not what I need. I need links that redirect instead of keywords, and I want the links to look something like http://www.myreviewsite.com/recommends-abc instead of showing the actual destination link.
I was considering a plugin like this one: http://www.webmaster-source.com/gocodes-redirection-plugin-wordpress/ - will it work alongside wpreviewsite ok?

trackback there... but doesn't show
I'm using the AWH template and have one listing that references another in the body of the listing main review. This has caused a "trackback" which seems to be in the database as an approved comment, but it doesn't appear back on the referenced listing. How do we get trackbacks to show? The same problem will happen if someone on another blog posts something about any one of my reviews.

can themes be switched anytime?
I'm still playing around and have added a few listings to my wpreview site. Can I still switch to a different theme (one that came with the purchase or upsell) later w/o breaking anything?

how can people submit a listing (post)?
on your award winning hosts site you have a tab added for "Submit a review", which when clicked says"
To submit a review of your web host, first check the list of hosts to the right. If yours is listed, scroll to the end of its reviews and you’ll be able to add your own.
If your website’s host is not currently listed on Award Winning Hosts, and you’d like to leave a review for others to read, we’d be happy to list it. Leave your review below, making sure you mention who hosts your website, and we’ll create a listing for the host and move your review as soon as possible."
Then at the bottom of the listings it has a nice formatted title saying "Write a review".
I would think most of us would want this in our other templates (the tab, the title, any special coding changes needed).
Can you advise how we can add that to a template? Is there any special coding needed for people to actually submit a listing?

should I turn on "akismet" or will that mess up people's ability to add comments/reviews? please advise on spam settings.

is each post a "product" listing?
Is each post a listing that gets added to the review database? If so, how can I make posts that aren't "reviewable"?
