How can I add a thumbnail image to the home page of AWH theme?
Just to clarify, I want the image that I use in the individual post to show up to the left of the product on the review page.
Either put the image in the body of the post, or set its URL as a custom field and access that field in the theme.
I have the field in the body of the post which works fine, but I want a thumbnail for each post(product) to show on home page. Not sure how to do that. Don't know much CSS. Any help would be appreciated.
I may be able to help. I'm not a coder myself, but I took pascal in highschool, so I understand the logic and can sometimes cut and paste the right stuff together. I wanted images as well on mine. This is what I am looking for also.... what is the reason for not allowing images in the index page view when using the supplied themes? or am I missing something
There is nothing preventing you from putting the images in your posts. It is not "disallowed". Having images display automatically based on custom fields in the post is something that has to be explicitly coded into a theme, not just turned on or off.
Can anyone please help me with thumbnails on the home page for AWH theme. the images added in the post dont show up on the home page. Also, i tried drakee's postted url, but that method is breaking the posts .

In case you're still struggling with this (I hope not!), I managed to do this on my home page using the AWH theme: http://www.yogaconsumerreports.com. It was a 2-step process:
1) I first had to add some custom code to the index.php file to allow the theme to pull excerpts onto the home page. See method 2 on this page to learn how: http://www.problogdesign.com/how-to/the-2-methods-of-showing-excerpts/
2) Then I installed the free plug-in "Thumbnails for Excerpts" which automatically shows as a thumbnail the image you uploaded to your post. This plug-in only works if your theme can pull in excerpts.
If you don't want to actually use excerpts, I think you might be able to leave that field blank, and the home page may just show your post. I didn't try that since I wanted to use excerpts.
I hope this helps someone as I'm a non-techy, and it took me an entire day of research to figure out! 
Just fill in the "post image" box on the write/edit screen.
How can I add thumbnails to the AWH - Black home page? I've tried placing them in the "post image" box and that does not work. Do I have to create a custom field? I hope not, that would be a real hassle! I would much rather use the "post image" box...which, by the way, does put the image on the post page. It just doesn't render it on any other pages.
