  Hi again Deezee, you don't mention whether the gendarmes were involved in the aftermath of the prang, or whether you subsequently reported the incident to them..Of course whether or not you have to report an accident depends on the amount of damage that has been done...An anonymous phone call to your local constabulary will answer this question for you...I mention this this because if the cops were involved and he gave them a false name then he is in deep shit...Even if the cops were not involved and he gave you a false name he is once again in deep doo-doo's, as I imagine you have his rego number and could make things uncomfortable for him..(via the law of course)..It may even pay you to give him a call at his place of work, to show that you are serious..

  As for there being a time limit on those things, the answer is yes and no...There is a thing called "The Statute of Limitations" which generally sets out a time limit within which you must begin legal proceedings, It used to be within 1year + 1day, but if the other party is deliberately avoiding you, then I believe it can be extended..

  I am certainly no lawyer and haven't dealt with these things for a lot of years, so what I say may be out of date and pertain mainly to Queensland...Best of luck, Deezee and I hope you get it sorted out soon...

  Easter & ANZAC Day

  Sorry to hear that you've been Ill Morgan, but I hope you're on the mend now.. (have been wondering where you got to)

  It's a bugger having to work on public hollidays, I did it for almost 10 years at one time, including Christmas Day and Easter, but I usually got Anzac morning off,until mid-day. (boss was EX RAF)..

  I had a nice Easter Sunday with my kids and grand kids (even made it to Church), and spent several hours alone in front of the tv on Anzac day watching the Brissie March, the Gallipoli Dawn Service and the Villers-Bretonneux Memorial Service..(even shed a quiet tear or two when I though about what may have been if it hadn't all happened)..
