mustard - Yeah, it would be tough to make any of them. It was more just a plug for a random site that I found quite interesting. I have been thinking along your lines though - it would be fun to make simulations of battles. How about making one of Tienanmen Square? 1 dude vs lots of tanks? Think the guy could hold out? Hahaha.

2 Ideas: Combining units and graphic packs
That's fantastic. Is it only possible to overlay the terrain tiles or can it be done to units as well?

Yeah, it's one of those 'thought questions' a professor of mine tosses out there from time to time. You nailed it Pistos and you're right about the closer to the sun being negligible, it's just something to confuse the question.
Or, "God made it cold up there."

Just noticed that the "Jetfighter" unit is misspelled - right now it says "Jetfigher".

A Couple More Interface and unit ideas.
I haven't played a whole lot of games using the BB, but it is indeed a monster. I'm for either of Streen's suggestions - although I prefer increasing the attack range of the sub.
Wouldn't it be cool if there was like a catapult unit to actually throw DFA's at something? Ha, just picturing that. Or some Terminator like unit with superhuman strength that could throw them.....

Nick, I want to second luckymustard - there's nothing wrong with getting ideas out there. I didn't have a good grasp on what you were saying and just tried to clear it up. I hope that it didn't come across as bashing the idea or anything...

This is a nice idea. It can eliminate the faulty replay system. If hex coordinates could be incorporated (example: cmdrvaughn's light infantry (7,8) attacks BM5k's light infantry (7,9) [image with hit points as shown currently on the ticker] OR cmdrvaughn moved light infantry (7,8) to (7,10)) and this got thrown under the chat box it would be pretty sweet. No clue what it would take to do that though...

It's quite good. Needs some more polishing though. I'm sure they're working on that as we speak. I'm just a big fan of the timestamps in the chat boxes. Looking forward to that being implemented in Weewar itself as opposed to relying on people with Greasemonkey.....

Community page - heavy CPU usage
I'd tested it on IE6, IE7, and Firefox 2.0.0.12. No matter what, the issue was there - haven't checked it out again yet.
