  • Map Testing

    I'm trying to create a small map and it needs lots of tweaking and testing. Is there any easier way than having two accounts, publishing, testing, ending in a draw, copying the map, changing something, rinse and repeat?

  • Exact battle calculator

    Jason, read the code.

    If you flip 4 coins and count the number of heads, that's similar to the process used in weewar battles. What does it mean to calculate results exactly? Simple - give the answer "0: 1/16, 1: 4/16, 2: 6/16, 3: 4/16, 4: 1/16". In other words, give the exact probabilities. The way the old simulator works is simulation - it tosses 4 coins a godawful number of times and tallies the results. bmaker is just saying he calculates the probabilities instead of guessing them from simulation.

    Best is probably a new unit order "Repair, Don't Repair This Turn, Deselect Unit"

    Super-King, the situation would be something like you have only one spot to attack something that you know is coming next turn, but two units, and you want to guarantee the first dies so the second can also attack.:)

    A draw's a draw. One a map like One on One, against a good player, if I knew that in the case of a stalemate there would be judges that decided who won, I would definitely play for a draw where the judges would clearly pick me. I don't think we want that.

    Perhaps a draw means "play the map from last round to determine the winner" or something?

    We should either have a good method of resolving draws or definitely change the round 5 map if we see any more than 1-2 draws this round.
