Reduce destroyers to an attack range of 2? Ugh, no way. They are you main screen and naval unit in the game now in that you need several for anti-sub work and anti-air duty. Reducing their range would basically allow aircraft to fly circles around them.
I think BBs are natural counters to destroyers in that they can outrange them. I honestly think the only balance needed for BBs at this point is a reduction of their cost to 1500-1600 instead of 2k. If possible to reduce the destoryers damage against BBs but not speedboats sure but I do not want to see swarming speedboats honestly being a valid tactic.
Overall, I'm not sure I agree that destoyers need a nerf. I've enjoyed the change on the test server. I also found plenty of times when I still needed a BB over a destroyer. The new changes have just made the idea of mass BBs obsolete.

Eventually I would love to see a fighter/bomber unit that cost a significant amount but able to perform both roles of either the fighter or bomber. Very powerful unit that would be able achieve any aircraft mission. The balace of course would be its price which I suspect should mirror the BB.
Another, depending how land based AA changes, would be a more expensive yet more effective AA. Perhaps increased range and damage with an appropriate price increase. Basically, you have units that have more powerful upgrades but not the AA.
I know others have additional dreams and thoughts.

The only reason why I would agree are the reasons I mention above. Very difficult to stop a unit that moves a total of 8 spaces from attacking your sensitive land based artillery. AA need to either be significantly improved damage wise or stop aircraft in a two space ZoC. Maybe do away with the seperate AA unit and make all artillery include an AA element to their attack? This could bring up difficult decisions such as "Do I use my unit as artillery this turn and kill that land based unit or as AA and hit that aircraft?"

His maps look crazy but interesting. Seems like tons of potential to work as a team at least.
I'm looking at the feed and kinda like the River 2.0. I would adjust who is on what side but that is it. Blue/Yellow on North side while Red/Purp on south side.

Light artillery, lower their cost more. Currently 400? Make them 300. Or even 250. Make them cheap since they are so easily outranged. Make them a viable early round arillery selection. Only problem is they may have little no use late round. Only way to fix that is to increase their range.
