What is the definition of a designer?
I grew up thinking that Leonardo Da Vinci was probably the world's first designer; a combination of art with science that gave birth to the genre of design. Hence I have always considered design beyond craft, or rather it is a craft designed for a purpose. I believe that a design is created with the intention of solving a particular problem, but modern design does not always seem to do that. So am I mistaken?
So what is a designer?

Personally, spectacular colours, pop-like cinematography, good pace and momentum. I was really pleasantly surprised by this movie. Visually more interesting than memoirs, though one should really not confuse the geisha with the oiran. Movie-wise this was miles more unrestrained and vibrant, in terms of story as well as performances, as there is a proper japanese film in spoken japanese.
