  • Coffee poems

A great link for Coffee Poetry:

    http://cocoajava.com/java_poetry.html

These are hubs of cultural tastes... people with time on their hands, time to think, contemplate over a favourite smooth cup.

When I want to get away from people, time to draw, illustrate, sketch... I go to a cafe with NO PEOPLE..... find a nice corner and have a small flat white... have to look after the weight!! But it is a strong, not too strong cup, that, on my first taste makes me melt.... I close my eyes.... then feel the hairs on my spine stand up. After years of graphic Design, using this hair tingling acknowledgement as a confirmation the job was brilliant.... I can use it as confirmation that I have found heaven, if only for a few seconds.

You can see this in these poems.... they just love it.

    Cheers!

  • Coffee with a conscientious kick

You know... this would be an attractive coffee slogan..... "Andean - brewed in the glade of a natural wood". Very cool!

  • The Legends of Coffee

    The first coffee houses -

    College for a Penny

Coffee was first introduced in Italy through apothecaries, i.e. pharmacies, and street vendors. Coffee houses soon began to flourish in London. It was around this time that the coffee house movement became the new trend. Coffee houses soon grew out of their obvious function, and served as places to conduct social or business meetings.

Many people met in these houses to conduct business, discuss politics, and engage in conversation. The coffee house soon took on a new nickname: Penny University. The name basically meant that for the price of a cup of coffee, one could sit for hours and participate and educate themselves in certain fields.

  • How many different ways are there to drink coffee

Its in the South bank complex, its a food court, just between the Yarra River and the National Gallery Of Victoria. All along there are great little coffee haunts. Then you continue along the bridge to the Australian Centre for the Moving Image (ACMI), just before the main Station (Flicers Street Stations and on the right side is all the galleries and alot of cafe's.... very cool, and on the left is alot of little takeaway areas and shops..... I was there for 5 days and had the time of my life.

This is what coffee does for me, its not just about the drink its whats associated with it... so much. Hope you're having a good day in Sydders. Weather great down here, this is IDEAL coffee weather... well outside on a little table with a shade and no work!!!

    Cheers
