  • Bubblegum Hat

    Hello everyone!

Firstly, thanks to all those who have signed up to play in the inaugral Bubble Gum Club Hat Tournament on Saturday the 27th. In this email you will find the team lists, what to bring, the start and finish times and a couple of surprises. Also, anyone wishing to turn up on the day is more than welcome, but please bear with us as we find you a team - we don't want any one team to be stacked (apart from mine, naturally).

PLEASE be there at 10am. I know its early but with light being poxy we need every half hour we can get. We also want everyone to get a full days play.

    WHAT TO BRING
    - A dark jersey (all signed up participants will be given a white t-shirt!)
    - Water and lots of it. You'll be hungover, be hydrated too.
    - Food. There's a 45mins lunch break, you'll be hungry. Come prepared!
    - CONES please! I have 8-12. We'll need a few more to make the 2nd pitch.
    - Throwing arms - there'll be an accuracy competition and a distance competition to raise a little money during lunch!
    - Warm clothes. See below.

    WEATHER FORECAST
    - Sunny, with occasional winds. (Honestly!)
    - 1-5 degrees. Brrr!

    SURPRISES
    - Free food in McCloskeys afterwards - sausages and chips for all.
    - A t-shirt! Your own Bubble Gum Club Hat, 100% cotton, memory.
    - Good weather.

    PARTAY!
    - Food & pints in McCloskeys from 4pm - all welcome!
    - It'd be good to meet in town afterwards, especially with a few long lost people home for Christmas and all. The Bernhard Shaw, then to Ri-Ras or the Button Factory? Anyone have any other ideas? Pass them on...
    - It should be noted that Doyles is NOT an option!

    SCHEDULE
    - Start time 10am sharp
    - Finish at 4pm
    - Deatailed breakdown on the day - each team will play at least 3 games and the finalists will play 5. Games will be 45mins with lots of breaks!

    TEAMS
    - Please note, we tried to make teams even and spread the strong with the beginners. The ratings people gave themselves were modest (generally speaking!) so in some cases we switched them a little.
