@JLY,any help on this one? :
@Tonno Topia 27 May. Thats interesting.. the question is, does Fire rune is the fire itself (magic fire), or does it make stuff go aflame only (chemical fire)? What happens if you throw a fire rune on a flamable material - it make it aflame and when it consumes its energy the flames will douse (magical fire), or would it make it aflame and it would be done with the work and since then the material itself would be burning (chemical fire)? Yup, ' fire and water = "steam"' thats why I said Im not sure water is really opposite to fire
I like your concept
By the way, fire and water making steam is physics so Im not sure how it goes with the magical effects you mentioned before o.O
@ Smashing_Magic_Shield, 27 May. What opposite do you have to gravity? Yet its concept is clear.

Fearful, careful with that. Imagine you'd eat the sword turned into blueberry cake and then.... the runes effect would wear off. ![]()

Eira paced the road anxiously, carrying a satchel over her shoulder. The well-travelled dusty road was empty, only a heavy smell of humid air accompanying her. 'It's way too hot for a late spring,' she thought, 'but if I'll keep up I can be in the town till the evening'.
Eira was still several miles from the Eastridge town when dark clouds started to gather on the sky. She could feel the wind raising and then, with a loud thunderclap, the rain started. The heavy drops of rain fell to the drained dirt instantly soaking in, the leaves rustled as the drops beated against them and fresh odor of ozone filled the air. Eira pulled a hood over her head with a sigh, ignoring the wet dress slapping against her calf with every pace she subbornly took another and yet another step to her destination.
It was nearly dark when Eira managed to arrive into the town. The heavy rain was still beating against the roofs, rustling as it trickled down to the pulps on the street. Here and there, a lighting revealed empty streets lined with wooden houses, all their shutters closed. Eira kept her head low to cover against the weather, her long hair and clothes soaked in water despite the hooded cloak she was wearing. As she took another step, her feet got stucked into a mud puddle and she nearly tripped. Cursing the weather under her bearth, Eira shaked the sticky mud off. What was her surprise when she looked up - and saw a dark shape, someone, just in front of her! Eiras eyes went wide as the person took another quick step and bumped directly into her, letting a faint scream of protest when the two bodies tangled up into a clutter of limbs and - just to make it even more miserable - tumbled back to the mud.
'What was that? Or who?', Eira thought, as she could feel the burden tacking her down slowly raise. Pondering, she stood up, taking a step toward the person in question. Eira brushed away her long soaked hair and she could finally see him - or her, rather. Even when wearing a pair of breeches, it was definetely her. There stood a young woman about her age, dressed more like a boy from stables would, with dark shaggy hair and a resilient expression on her face.
However, there was more written in her face then just that.. there was pain. Eira winced at the recognition and suddenly realized the girl was not standing straight, one of her legs was not supporting her weight. That's when Eira's eyes went wide for the second time that day, as she watched the girl slowly stumble away, step by step dissapearing beyond the curtain of heavy rain, while herself was still standing there in a shock without a word. Not even a simple 'sorry', when she was probably the one to cause the injury. Eira took the shame, running in the direction the girl vanished.
The muddy water splashed around her, staining her dress even further while she ran through the puddles. But Eira didn't care. That was not important, the clothes can be cleaned later. Instead a picture of the hurt girl was in her mind. She nearly tripped over her in the run. Avoiding the bundle narrowly she stopped and turned around, seeing the girl unconscious, laying on the ground, the heavy drops beating against her hair, face and the clothing. Eira kneeled at the girl and quickly reviewed her basic life actions - breathing and pulse. She seemed allright in that regard.
Eira hastily gripped the girls arms, trying to drag her away, but it was not much of a use. She could barely move her.. she was either too weak or the girl too heavy. They'll have to stay here. Eira looked around the place. They were at the edge of a forest, dark shapes of trees closing on them, crooked under the weight of the water in their treetops, but there was somewhat dry patch of ground under a close pine.
Ten minutes later, a passing bystander could see a thin column of smoke raise from under the tree. There sit Eira in front of a rude campfire and another girl was laying beside her, wrapped in grey woolen blanket. Eiras cloak was draped over the lowest branches of the pine and the only thing left to do was wait.. and not let the fire extinguish.
