In that case then I understand completely. Especially when it comes to security focused systems, then a roles system with assignable privilages gives a huge amount of scope to fine tune the systems to work in may different scenarios.
The implementation and administration are not to be sneezed at though. Let alone the adjustment in the users to this system.
If this forum is to have a future in the use case that I use it for (professional group, business orientation) then there would have to be some improvement in the transferability of ownerships etc...
In fact there is a list of things that we are starting to get together that would make Tangler much better suited to our use case. This list is in preparation for a possible migration from Tangler to a company server based system where the forum truly becomes a closed system totally in our control.
Not that we are not happy with Tangler at the moment though. Tangler was an experiment to see if our team would benifit from this kind of a communication tool, and it seems to be working for us at the moment. Still early days though.

As I watched the news of the big 3 automakers going on bent knees to congress to beg for thier much needed bail out, a thought could not be kept out of my mind.
The high probability to certainty that they will get it (in some shape or form) would spike their miserable share values. A spike that could make a sexy profit for a well timed trader.

should we inmpeach george bush
If you do not, then the next nutter will likely have a blueprint of how to screw things up and get away with it.
In all seriousness, it will take an immense politial will and energy to do this and given the current distraction of the economic crisis, it could be a backburner.
Georgie could wiggle out of his own corner because of the disaster he has wrought.

I cannot seem to put a finger on them in any meaningful way, and I have had some vague comments from the other guys as well.
I am not doing any app testing as such on Tangler, so cannot come up with use cases and reactions for you that would be useful for your dev team.
If I come across a use case that I can reproduce and seems wrong, then I will lay it out for you. Just thought I would toss the question at you guys and see if there was anything different.

Hang on....
I see it now!
but I had anticipated which topic this guy had written to. I can imagine that when there are many topics and forums, it would be a needle in the haystack to find where this new post is.
May I suggest that not only does the dashboard work better in showing new posts, but there is a hyperlink in the popup leading directly to the new post.
i may be a parrot here and just be repeating an idea that you already have.

That would be a scary reality.
But can you imagine the economic blow such a measure would inflict on economic activity?
Just the slowing down of the internet connections would cost collectively millions to billions a year in lost productivity.
I am amazed that China can florish with such a situation.
Testimony to the economic clout of cheap labour (relative internationally off course)
