So in your case, yeah... you'd be benefiting mainly from the lack of interference, but not from higher resolutions because your TV won't have the pixels to show proper HD in all it's glory. Compression might be helping too, to get you more dataz down the pipez
I remember when we first got digital, channel 5 had always been in black and white because the signal quality was so shit, suddenly it was in colour... interference/signal loss can really degrade the picture.
