  @Delen, it all depends on the group your playing in, Ive been part of both Amtgard, and the SCA for well over 10 years in each and have had "Incedental Contact" in the foam weapon group and well SCA we just hit hard =).  Sometimes you just cant help it.

  @Maxwell your pretty close but you forgot to put Chuck Norris in after Sword Chucks.

  @Tonno High Fantasy is great but then again to wright well you need to wright what you know.  Sword chucks and sharpend shields are much like a VERY old fantasy movie (I dont even remember the name any more) where the hero used a sword that had 3 blades.  Kinda defeats the purpose of a sword really but it was cool when he shot out a blade.

  I think Indiana Jones had it right and it went something like this...

  bad guy pulls out big sword and swish swish swish

  Indi, pulls out gun BANG and down goes bad guy end of story.

  Main Character Fighting Styles

  Deema, the weapon you are talking about is called a glave, or a slashing spear.  There is absolutly nothing harmless looking about a halberd, its a big axe on a pole.  The direction your going is much like Mat from the Wheel of Time series of books by Robert Jordan.  While I can see him using those weapons I will have to repeat myself and say I see Rai being much the Dulest, like Tibalt (sp) from Romeo and Juliete.  Rapier and Dagger of course lol.

  Getting to know you

  Ive always heard that its not your only as old as you feel, its your only as old as THE ONES you feel... but I work at a daycare so I guess physicly Im 32 but Im only 1.  Ive also discovered the only differeance in 3-9 and 13-19 year olds is they are the same except the 13-19 like the opposit sex more.

  depends, ice cream cake =) yes, plain ol fruit cake =( no... besides I like pie.  I have found there are only 2 kinds of pie I like... HOT and COLD lol.

  Questions and Comments

  To JLY: non divine, not comming from the will of the Gods themselfs.  It could be a will or chi that powers magic but then could one have a great ammount of chi/will and not channle magic?  Can the ammount of power one holds be expanded through training (fairly obvious I think yes but thought I would toss it out).  Other than healing is there clerical/magic that is centered solely around the body and mind, such as making oneself jump higher, precognition, increased strength (okay lookin at the jedi for examples here)

  Poll: Who's your favorite character in SFA?

  My favorite would be Fell, he is the most like me.  He has a lot of growing up to do, as do they all.  I dont think Averi is one of the weaker characters she escapes social situations with ease because thats what shes been trained to do since she could first speak (its a royalty thing).  I think the weakest "character" would be Wisteria, I think shes way to overpowered.  Much like a character a power gamer would put togeather in a D&D game.  Too many abilitys and tallents not enough flaws (teen angst doesnt count here).

  Who is your favorite SFA instructor/teacher? and why?

  Yes, Nianzy is cool and very ninja lol, but I think you might all be overlooking someone.  Proffessor Halden the Warrior trainer.  The skills the man must have would be astounding, many and verious weapons, stratagy, footwork, and positioning.  It would all be incredable.  I think he would be the master at arms that trains kights to sit at a kings right hand.  Maybe even having declined that position himself so he could better the training of the young pups comming up the ranks after him.
