NICE pictures. Thank you so much. that helps some, but yes, I still need to see what the touch will look like as well. I like the collections thing that you can create. Nook has something like that as well, but it doesn't seem to work very well (imo).
I guess I need to kind of explain a little here and why I am not so happy with the Nook touch for those of you who might consider getting one... most of what I am complaining about it just my own personal frustration and not anything to really do with the Nook itself. I really do like it, and I love how small it is.
I use Calibre with mine and I tweeked the setting so that when I transfer books to my 1st gen Nook I was able to see a nice list of books how I wanted to. The following example is what I would see when I went into my documents on my nook.
The Author
the series - the # - the name of the book
for example:
Moning, Karen Marie
Fever 01 - Darkfever
Fever 02 - Bloodfever
Fever 03 - Faefever
Fever 04 - Dreamfever
Fever 05 - Shadowfever
The series would be nicely listed right under the author, and easy to find.
Now I can still do this, but it looks like this.
Moning, Karen Marie
Fever 01 - Darkfever
-----------------------------------------------
Moning, Karen Marie
Fever 02 - Bloodfever
------------------------------------------------
Moning, Karen Marie
Fever 03 - Faefever
-----------------------------------------------------
Moning, Karen Marie
Fever 04 - Dreamfever
---------------------------------------------------
Moning, Karen Marie
Fever 05 - Shadowfever
---------------------------------------------------
Do you see the diff? how much MORE room it takes and with only a 6" screen it takes forever to find the book I am looking for, and yes it does have lines that separate each and every darn book, makes me forget what it was I am looking for when I have to deal with that much info on each screen.
I haven't been able to make any changes to it, cause its hard written into the op system. So the fastest way for me to find a book I am looking for is to just search for it, but sometimes it doesn't always find what I am seeking, and I have to try to search another way. I just think there is more they can do here with this Nook but they haven't had any updates to change anything. So I am dealing....
I know I am just whinning, but it is called the Simple Touch Nook, and honestly I think the 1st gen Nook was more simple of a system.

Anita Blake: Book #20 - Hit List
Laura maybe just the last of it. That should pretty much sum things up. From say chapter 30 on, that it pretty much where the main action of the WHOLE story is at and the really the WHOLE of the STORY, what it boils down to. That way you can know what happened, what took place and skip all the BS.

Game of Thrones aka George RR Martin's Song of Ice and Fire
I haven't read everything you all have put on this post yet, cause I don't want to run across any spoilers.
I had tried to get into the book, but didn't get very far. (Of course it took me 3 x's with Anita Blake, and I love that series) anyhoo. I still haven't gotten into the books yet. However I have watched the shows just over this last weekend. I LOVED it!! I have to ask all of you, are the books just like the show? is it running pretty darn close to each other or have they gone WAY off course as they have with TrueBlood?? I just have to know, cause I really want to give the books another go, but not if they are going to be way different, if you know what I mean. So help me out, give me your input without giving away too much of the whole story.
thanks![]()

Book #11 - Dead Reckoning Plot Inconsistency? **SPOILERS**
CH's site:

Supposedly "DeadandGone" will have some back story on Eric. I'm not sure wha that means. It could have some history abou this maker or not...but it's Eric so...whatever history is told in the next book...I'm happy I'm just hoping it clears up the history between Niall and Eric ...what's with that?
9177duckpond1002009-04-1908:59
Hopsngrapes, it doesn't have a word about the history between Niall and Eric, because it's not important to Sookie's story.
Charlaine Harris
Is CH referring to the Sookie book that was coming out next or to Sookie's story in general? CH does have a way of throwing her readers off by not giving all of the truth or avoiding the question sometimes.

Early Speculation for Home Improvement
Table of Contents for Home Improvement: Undead Edition
I know I posted the contributors for the forthcoming Charlaine Harris-and-me anthology Home Improvement: Undead Edition, but I don’t think I ever put up the final table of contents. So here it is, to tantalize you until our August release date. I’m mean that way. But to keep me from being a total meanie, I’ll add a few hints about the stories and/or authors.
“If I Had a Hammer” by Charlaine Harris
Yes, it is a Sookie story.
“Wizard Home Security” by Victor Gischler
At one point, I e-mailed Victor to ask about something, and he responded that Marvel was slamming him with X-Men deadlines. I have been an X-Men fan for years, and I squee-ed as loud as Havok yells when I got that note. (You have to be a fellow X-Men fan to get that reference.)
“Gray” by Patricia Briggs
Not werewolves or shapeshifters this time–vampires!
“Squatters’ Rights” by Rochelle Krich
I don’t even know how to describe this one. But it’s delightfully creepy!
“Blood on the Wall” by Heather Graham
Heather gives us nasty murders in New Orleans, cultists, and a PI with strong family feelings.
“The Mansion of Imperatives” by James Grady
Yes, this is the James Grady who wrote Six Days of the Condor. When I told my father he was going to be in the anthology, he squee-ed. In a manly way, of course.
“The Strength Inside” by Melissa Marr
Don’t you just hate home owner associations?
“Woolsley’s Kitchen Nightmare” by E. E. Knight
It’s hard work putting the perfect dining experience together.
“Through This House” by Seanan McGuire
Yes, it’s a Toby Daye story!
“The Path” by S. J. Rozan
Nobody writes about China like S.J!
“Rick the Brave” Stacia Kane
How can a guy named Terrible be such a wonderful character? And Chess is there, too.
“Full-Scale Demolition” Suzanne McLeod
Suzanne has published three of her amazing Spellcrack books in the UK, but so far only one is out in the US. You’ll want to buy it.
“It’s All in the Rendering” by Simon R. Green
Some houses have doors on both sides–and some Houses open onto more than one world.
“In Brightest Day” by Toni L.P. Kelner
In which I exploit the hitherto neglected sub-genre of zombie mysteries.
That’s all you get until August! But unlike most construction projects, this one should be on time.

Alexander Skarsgard Thread 6 *NEW*
sorry if this has been posted already... but did you realize that Alexander is in one of Lady Gaga's videos? He's in the beginning and at the end. And of course its a really crazy music video.

Shadowfever Chapters 1& 2 revealed **SPOILERS**
I figured it was Barrons as well. Now here's the thing.....
unless if you burn it, how do you know it isn't dead. Mac pulls out the spear, which was probably keeping him from healing. Now that it has been removed, if he is coming back, he will. He has to, its too much if he doesn't.
Doesn't that make enough sense? he has to come back cause its been too much of a build up on him to have him gone just like that.
