I love vampire fiction, but I must say the Sookie Stackhouse series is one of my favorites.

Book #9 Dead and Gone (For those that HAVE READ already) *SPOILERS*
I agree lmb1309... Quinn is up to some form of no good. He didn't come off as a crazy stalker boyfriend until this book. The Nevada vamps must have his Mom and sister again. I still say they will attempt a Bill angle once they see Quinn won't be effective at luring Sookie to Nevada willingly. I do think Bill loves Sookie, but he still puts himself first. He worked for the queen, why not the new King? He went over Eric's head in the chain of command when it came to finding Sookie and then with his computer program. It would not be too far off to see him do that again. The next few books could be quite interesting.

I love a good vampire movie. I don’t know that I have a favorite movie of all time; however I do have a list of my all time favorites. Here they are in no particular order:
Bram Stoker’s Dracula
Interview with the Vampire
Queen of the damned
The Lost Boys
Blade the series
Underworld the series
And I am sure I am forgetting a few more.

Black Dagger Brotherhood (JR Ward) - *SPOILERS*
I am a fan of the series as well as the Sookie series. I will admit while reading the books I cried several times when events brought them to the Scribe Virgin. That's how I know when I have fallen in love with a series, when it brings an emotional reaction out of me. Whether it is laughter, tears or simply sticking my tongue out at a character (I do this often to Bill from the Sookie Stackhouse series).

Book #9: Dead and Gone (Speculation Only)
I am pretty excited. I have heard that it's easy to buy books, maybe a little too easy. I will have to show some restraint.

Has anyone read Dakota Cassidy series... The Accidental Werewolf? I've heard good things from other sources so I was curious if anyone here has read them. We all seem to have similar taste in books, so let me know if you have and what you thought.

Frenchie - IMO I believe Eric has always had tabs on Sookie. He knew she'd just recieved horrible news. He might not follow her but he knows pretty quickly if she's hurt or in the hospital. I would not be surprised if he made sure she got back to Hadley's safely, or at least I would not bet against it in Vegas

True Blood TV Discussion's: It's an Alan Ball world...
I am spoiled because I read the books first. I know that I will not watch the show now because they have twisted the roles so much that it has polluted the story of Sookie in my opinion. However I knew who was cast to play the role of Eric, so as I read the books I could picture him as CH intended the character to be. Perfect really! Like I said I have been spoiled!

As far as putting Eric in a similar situation of being insanely thirsty, that has kind of already happened. When Sookie found Eric running down the road, he was born again, meaning a newly vampire that was thirsty and not so controlled. He could of very easily turned on Sookie and drained her dry, but he didn't. He had some control and I don't believe it had anything to do with the blood bond. It's true that Eric was in a confined space with Sookie in DttW. I guess I just never saw him as insanely thirsty. Confused for sure, but I don't think he was starved for blood or weak like Bill in CD. However it brings up a valid point that Eric showed more self control as a born again vamp then Bill did most other days. I remember Sookie had to take vitamin supplements to fight anemia from all the blood Bill took from her. I might be wrong about this but didn't he complain after that about her blood tasting funny from the iron supplements? Didn't he tell her to stop taking the vitamins? Good grief! One more reason I stopped liking Bill.

"Ad Nauseum": All the Reason's for Sook/Eric to be together (a.k.a: "ESA"-Eric/Sookie Anonymous)
I have just recently found the Sookie Stackhouse series and I am in love with Eric and Sookie's relationship dynamic. CH has said that she has known since LDiD who Sookie would end up with and I have known since that book who I wanted her to end up with too. Its gotten to the point that I sneer whenever I read about Bill begging Sookie for another chance. I know that makes me like 5 years old emotionally but I can't help myself. I know in my heart she will end up with Eric. He never stoops to Bill's level of "I'd die for you that means I love you more", he is just always there to save her without the big show.
I love watching him get jealous in the later books, about Quinn taking her out on a date and her dancing like Shakira at the ball. The ball was the funny part to me because it's like he's saying the line of males trying to win your affection is long enough without you advertising for new suitors. He is patient with her but not with her other suitors. However at the ball did you notice that she looks to see if he's still angry with her while she is dancing with the Sean Irish vamp. She even mentions how she should be seeing to Quinn's wounds instead of "trying not to grin like an idiot...dancing with another guy (Eric) until I felt tingly with happiness. And it didn't do any good, excusing myself on account of our blood tie".
I swear my heart skips a beat every time he calls her "my lover" or "lover". His eye is on the prize and I would be shocked if he let another suitor wedge themselves in between him and her again. The only way I see this happening is if the Nevada vamps keep him busy and someone talks his way into her life. Eric lets Sookie be Sookie, infact he loves watching her be who she is, be I think he is done waiting for her to be ready to settle down only to have someone cut in front of him.
I can't wait until May!
