True Blood Season 2: Episode 9 continued & Episode 10
You're spot on, Kelli. I was feeling jipped out of those foundation scenes too. I didn’t get my apology, nor my wink, nor my elevator scene, nor my doctoring scene, nor my witty rapport during the shooting, nor my kiss. That’s a lot to lose. Still AB taketh away, AB giveth. And boy what a gift! The dream sequence just about makes up for the missing bits. I’ll forgive AB completely if we get a “real” kiss this season.

TrueBlood Season Two **THREAD CLOSED-READ ONLY** MOVE TO TB SEASON 2 EP-7-12
I've been thinking about the E/L storyline and feel AB is trying to please both camps. I've been forgetting the little bits of gay stuff Eric does/says in the books. i.e. he was willing to be perceived as gay/bi at the orgy (wears the pink outfit,) flirts and macs with "the little one" (character's name escapes me but he gives Eric a hickey when they go get a car for Sookie) in CD... I, a hetero woman, gloss over these bits because they don't jive with my fantasy but if I were AB, these might be my favorite moments. I'll be honest though, I don't want to share. I hated that Lafayette got the wink..

True Blood TV Discussion's: It's an Alan Ball world...
I think AS has said in an interview that Eric's maker is kidnapped in Dallas so it's really personal for the character, which obviously is different from the books (unless for some reason Eric's maker changed his name to Godrey) But if everything else about the maker is true, we know he's gay so maybe that's the homoerotic part. Of course, why say anything about keeping the other "nameless?"

When Sookie takes Eric's blood...
I'm neck deep in my obsession with the books/show/AS so in rereading LDID (to prep for season 2 of course) something sticks in a way that didn't before DAG. Why is Eric so hell bent on getting his blood into Sookie, his little bulletsucker? He states in DAG that he hasn't given his blood in centuries, why do something like that with a woman he barely knows? Possibly to gain power over her? And did this backfire on him? Does Sookie have WAY more control/power over Eric than she knows? Can Eric say "no" to her? She asks him to the orgy, he says "yes" but perhaps begrudgingly (remember how Pam described him as she walked away with the phone) Doesn't he say something in DAG like "the blood bond has worked both ways" and then tells her the Renfield story? Is he Renfield?

In reading these last posts, regarding "the spark," the thing that always stuck in my head is Jason. It seems odd for Niall to exclude him, unless he's not related. Are we sure Jason and Sookie are truly blood relatives?

"Ad Nauseum": All the Reason's for Sook/Eric to be together (a.k.a: "ESA"-Eric/Sookie Anonymous)
Ever since I read the HP series, I've loved the idea of a huge epic story, told over thousands of pages (and several books) with various subplots and lots of characters that ultimately results in one common plot. (i.e. Harry Potter is a Jesus allegory) Does anyone have any idea how many books CH is planning to write? I love to think about these books as being the story of how Sookie becomes the first human Queen of the Vamps or something along those lines, something more than just her day to day adventures but a big overarching tale that we get bits and pieces of as the series continues.
I post this here because I think (hope) Sookie will end up with Eric who eventually becomes King and her story is one half of the story of their ascension to power. CH could write a whole over series from Eric’s POV of the same time period that culminates in the “happily ever after.”
