Tangleister - yahoo pipes are *quite* easy to use, especially if you want to do some simply stuff. the Grazr interface i put up should just work - no need for a feed reader.
I've also used xfuits for aggregating feeds - it doesn quite a good job, but does seem to have some size limitations. rss to pdf is interesting, as is rss to email fif you want to communicate to people who are unfamiliar with rss. i've been blogging about this sort of stuff here
i work on an open educational resource project and we're trying to make the material as easily accessible and widely disctributed as possible. All idea welcome!

Do Governments Work for you? or themselves?
quite right. worse still, an uninformed electorate relies too heavily on mass media for their opinions in an uncritical way. what is a true democracy tho? greek democracy is often held as an ideal, but no female involvement? only men of a certain age?
maybe true democracy is achievable now thruy the web, why do we need to give politicians a mandate to make decisions on our behalf (especially one's that we haven't explicitly voted for and which don't appear in their manifesto)? then again people would have to be able to make informed decisions on important subjects.
Rudolf Rocker wrote `Political rights do not originate in parliaments; they are rather
forced upon them from without. And even their enactment into law has
for a long time been no guarantee of their security. They do not exist
because they have been legally set down on a piece of paper, but only
when they have become the ingrown habit of a people, and when any
attempt to impair them will meet with the violent resistance of the
populace.'
