I saw the topic "Aussie slang" and was intrigued...I have been laughing so hard I thought I would pee my pants....the ketchup discussion was hilarious. Yall must include another catagory in the English subset: SouthernSpeak....everything is metaphor and vowels strung out for 2-3 sylables...I am still giggling...I've met Aussies traveling through my state who just stared and smiled when we had conversations...beer was a great equalizer and common ground...errybuddy sounded right after some cold ones....

True Blood TV Discussion's: It's an Alan Ball world...
AS is my absolute favorite from the show with Lafayette a VERY close second...salt n peppa baby! ...but you know what freaked me out? AS is so damn fine but when I checked his bio and found out he was the geeky blonde model from Zoolander that doused himself during the gasoline fight...it tripped me for a second. Cold, beefy, (OMG his SHOULDERS are like a landing strip!) and intimidating wears much better on him as ERIC....

General: Info, Announcements & Introductions
Hey y'all--
I'm Melanie from Tyler, Texas...I work for a large cable company so I got the skinny early on about Trueblood. My daughter has actually read the Harris books and she highly recommended them. I didn't have time to get past the first one before the HBO series started and I soon decided to let the books rest while I just let TB unfold. As I was telling someone earlier--the suspense is so much more delicious when I can't see whats round the corner...
Now I'm not trying to dangle a carrot I can't deliver BUT...the HBO rep hooked me up (since I am the #1 raving fan of TB) with some cool stuff like t=shirts, caps, and little notebooks with TB on them. I have a couple of multiples that I may put out there...T minus 9 hours 47 mins to TB!!
