  iGoogle

  i'm a netvibes advocate.  Does everything I would want a customised homepage to do.  Having said that, I don't think it is for the novice user.

  Well, it seems as if somebody actually created an account, and then sent out the same message to 931 users.  We have tracked it down to a user in mauritius that sent the message every 2 minutes.  We have cancelled that account so no more can be sent but are looking to see if it could have been automated by a script but at this stage early reports show it was done manually.... now that is dedication to a cause (lonely lady in Africa). 

   

  It does raise an interesting quesiton.  If it is a legitimate user, sending them manually, should we ban them.  The content of the message wasn't offensive, it just targeted the lonely and potentially naive.

  yeah so you saw my post in the tangler feedback thread.  if i plug my email address into particls site the confirmation email has touchstone as the sender and zookoda as the confirmation link text

  notification options

  Chris, I was using an older version of touchstone and hadn't moved on to particls.  I will re-install as I can see how it would fit with something like tangler and see it as very different to netvibes.  I'd just be using it to alert me to the stuff I really need to know when I need to know.

  I hear you Flat Iron.  That is why commercially Zoomin does other things.   The community side of the project is just one of the things we work on.
